What is the point of a middle-aged pop star asks Joe Queenan in Time to Take a Bow (The Guardian)...
He jumps out of the starting blocks mentioning that Madonna, Prince (and Michael J) are turning 50 in 2008.
If I am to trust Wikipedia, Joe Queenan (a guy from Philly) was born way back in 1950.
He calls Madonna a cabaret act and mentions free concerts in Paramus (New Jersey) as how low some of the aging stars are ready to go.
Will Joe step in the boxing ring next?
